The property was built in 1918 by Fenando Vives Escudero, a wealthy Madrid businessman in the pastry business. He settled in 1921 with his lover, Xini, an elegant and eccentric woman. Xini inherited the property from Fernando in 1940. They enjoyed a rich and festive life in Sant Patrici until Fernando's death in 1941. The style of the building is reminiscent of the rural properties built by Andrea Palladio at the end of the 19th century in Italy.
With no resources other than property, Xini slowly fell into poverty and was fed by farmers and local people. She died alone in Mahón in 1966.
The property was abandoned for a few decades until it was recovered and renovated in the early 2000s and eventually transformed into an agritourism.
